Location: Springfield, IL

Judges: Tom Bombolis, Barbe Smith, Bill Waller

When it’s Fall, it’s MANE EVENT!!!

Join us for the EVENT!

The Illinois State Fairgrounds has long-been considered one of the premier horse show facilities in the country and Mid-American Horse Show Association is pleased to host the Mane Event Horse Show at the Fairgrounds again this year.

The 2017 Mane Event show competition will be held in the newly enclosed Fairgrounds arena.  Plans are underway to provide additional enhancements to the arena to create an attractive exhibitor-friendly show ring.  Plans include modification to the show ring, improved seating, and creating a comfortable inviting arena for everyone to compete and enjoy the show.  ALL STABLING IS IN ENCLOSED BARNS convenient to the show ring.

The new Mid-America Series Championship, offered to Mid-America Horse Show members, will be included as a special competition at the Mane Event Horse Show. This competition is offered for amateurs in specific pleasure classes.  To qualify for this championship a horse must have shown at both Mid-America Spring Fling Horse Show and Mid-America Signature Horse Show in 2017.

As proud owner of The Good Hands program, Mid-America Horse Show Association will again host The Good Hands National Finals, officially sponsored by National Horseman Publishing, during Mane Event.  This championship is the first leg of the Triple Crown competition for junior exhibitors and completes the Triple Crown adult equitation riders’ competition.

[For information on holding a Good Hands Junior Exhibitor qualifying class at your local show, call 847/537-4743 or email admin@midamericahorseshow.org.  Shows do not have to be USEF affiliated. Class fee is $35, which includes the distinctive “trophy” ribbon.]

Mane Event offers great hospitality and this year is planned to be better than ever.  Everyone is invited to join the Friday Night Celebration honoring our Good Hands riders.  The Saturday Night Exhibitors Party, considered by many to be the best party on the circuit, will continue to provide gourmet fare, including a not-to-be-missed Lobster Bisque.

Mid-America Horse Show Association appreciates the support of past exhibitors, welcomes new exhibitors and looks forward to hosting the Mane Event of the Season this fall.  Don’t miss the Event!
